Hello Tutor Totter families! My name is Jessie. I have lived in Auburn for over 20 years and absolutely love it here. I have been working with children since I was 16 and always knew I wanted to pursue a career working with them. I attended Sierra College where I received my associate’s degree and then continued my education at Sacramento State University where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in child development. I have been with Tutor Totter since 2008, where I started as a working aunt for my niece. I immediately fell in love with the preschool and was very fortunate to be offered a job. At home, I have two of my own amazing children Briella and Dominic, as well as my two four-legged children Daisy and Boo. I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with my family, and friends. I look forward to working with and getting to know you and your children.

Hello families! My name is Amy and working with children has always been a passion of mine. I started off my teaching career as a dance teacher, where I taught for 15 years. I always knew I wanted to work in a classroom environment and I fell in love with early childhood education, specifically, preschool. I love all things that early childhood education embodies: creativity, play, exploration, sensory, and getting messy. WE GET MESSY AT PRESCHOOL! I love teaching and being able to create a fun and relaxed environment where each child feels comfortable. I absolutely love learning and continuing my education. I completed my early childhood education degree and am working on going back to school to complete my AS in behavioral science. I’ve been with Tutor Totter since 2015 when my oldest son attended. I started off as a working parent in the classroom, became a substitute teacher in 2017 and officially started assistant teaching in 2018. I have watched both of my children thrive at Tutor Totter and make lifelong friendships. Our school community is special and I can’t wait to meet your kiddos and continue to build connections with you and your families!
TEACHER DANIELLE, TEACHER ASSISTANT
My name is Danielle. Teaching and participating in early childhood education has always been a passion of mine. I love getting the opportunity to be apart of each child’s introduction into academics. I have over 6 years of experience working in a preschool classroom. I am the mother to four children and began working in the preschool setting with my oldest daughter 9 years ago. My second daughter attended Tutor Totter back in 2014 where I began working in the class as a participating parent. Later that school year I started working as an assistant to Jessie as I completed my degree in early childhood education. I worked at Tutor Totter until 2018 and only left due to moving out of the area. I absolutely love tutor Totter’s approach to learning and have fully embraced their creative, play-based style of teaching. I’m very excited to be back on staff and I look forward to working with each of you and your littles throughout the school year.
